Silicon Moulds

It comes from silicon, for further processing, the siloxane chains, in which silicon atoms alternating with oxygen atoms.

When the siloxane chains bind in place of hydrogen atoms, the organic radicals, it comes to so-called silicone compounds which are acidic macromolecules, with particular resistance to heat:

Some types of silanes (macromolecular compounds acidic), characterized by specific organic radicals, are separated, purified, hydrolyzed, and by the elimination of molecules of H ₂ O, come to form chains siloxane, which may be linear, branched, cyclic or three dimensional .

Linear siloxane chains are very well, through a process of vulcanization, cross-linked to the creation of bridges between them, coming to originate silicone elastomer known as "silicone rubber.

The RTV silicone rubbers Raytec like Ray, or Ray Mould, the first liquid as supplied, the second in a thick paste, elastomers are two component rapid curing at room temperature, thanks to the characteristics of elasticity, heat sealing, low lacerabilità can be used for a large number of applications.

Are highly elastic, have virtually no linear shrinkage and, because these characteristics are used in the creation of small molds puddings, which gives a very faithful reproduction and extreme ease of extraction, production of accessories for stamping or pad printing, as buffers shock.

Available in various colors and different curing times and Shore hardness.
